However, there are reasons in which electric scooter rentals should be allowed in cites. Electric scooters are able to decrease the amount of dangerous toxins in the air since they run on electricity. Based on the article," Scooting around Town" it states that not only are the scooters a cleaner option of transportation but they also promote people to go outside which can cause many to not stay home and actually go out. Even though these reasons benefit scooters, this mode of trasportation can cause danger for all those involved. Riders on the sidewalk travel faster than pedestrians but slower than cyclists on the bike lane which can be a perfect environment for accidents.
