These explorers were able to collect incredible scientific data and samples during their deep-dive and exploration of the deep underwater tunnels, which would have never been collected before. Along with this research, Source 3 states that "they also recovered several specimens of albino crayfish unique to the caves." This species was previously unknown and without the exploration of these systems, would have stay undiscovered. Exploration of these caves has resulted in amazing scientific findings and continued exploration will extend these discoveries and create even more possibilities to discover incredible things.

As divers bring new discoveries to the surface more of our earth is explored helping achieve advancements in humanity. Florida's caves hold an air of mystery and storytelling to them, feeling like they are holding the keys to a locked treasure that explorers have to find for themselves. As Florida blended with its watery surrowndings it changed, forming new caves and life unheard of anywhere else. That is why it can be hard to visualize just how grandeous it is. For example when Bill Belleville desended into one of florida's caves, his mind was set onto the idea of a "Fred Flinstone" scenario; full of the same caves he's explored before but instead he soon got the feeling of "Orpheus descending into the underworld."(S1,P8).
