As larger cities start to grow in population the traffic on the road becomes worst every day, especially for people that are only traveling short distances. By allowing electric scooters the city will create a level of conveniets for every day travelers. Source one Scooting Around Town by Massey Braun states "scooters are convenient and very affordable options for travel that keep cars off the road, thus improving traffic." For most people that live in the city they do not have to travel a far distance to get to work, therefore if they are driving a car they could end up sitting in traffic for ages.
